THE RATS

Las Ratas: Mestizo Fury from La Laguna

LPA B&M Festival 2025 is pleased to present Las Ratas, one of the most incendiary and veteran bands of the Canarian scene. Born in La Laguna (Tenerife) in the early 90's, they have been combining the rage of punk with the groove of funk, the power of metal and the flow of rap for more than three decades, an explosive cocktail that ignites any stage from the Canary Islands to Germany, France or Morocco.

With five studio albums behind them -No Hay Provocación (1996), La Máquina (1999, recorded by the historic Kaki Arkarazo), Historias del Barrio (2002), the ambitious rock-opera Sáhara 1975 (2010) and the devastating Spanish Bukkake (2016)-, in addition to the 20th Anniversary compilation and several EPs, Las Ratas have turned each release into a manifesto of social criticism and creative freedom.

Their live show is pure dynamite: three vocalists sharing lyrical shrapnel, a rhythm section that doesn't let up and guitars that go from the strongest riff to the most danceable funk without losing an ounce of forcefulness. The result is a sweaty, irreverent and festive show where the denunciation is mixed with dancing and shameless fun.

In LPA B&M Festival they promise to deploy an arsenal of classics and new surprises, reaffirming why they continue to be a reference of the most combative Canarian rock. Don't miss Las Ratas: come to vibrate, jump and scream with a band that, based on attitude and sound muscle, has turned every concert into a wild and necessary party.
